ATLETICO MADRID will "loan" Chelsea target Vitolo £35million so he can pay his own release clause from Sevilla and join Las Palmas until January... when he will then sign for Diego Simeone's side.

Atletico are currently in the grip of a transfer ban, which has seen Antoine Griezmann stay at the club.

As such, they have come up with a cunning manoeuvre to still get their targets.

The Vicente Calderon side cannot sign anyone until the ban is lifted in January.

One player they want is winger Vitolo - who Antonio Conte was lining up a £35m bid for.

And report that Atletico chiefs have devised a plan which will see them loan Vitolo the cash so he can buy his own way out of Sevilla.

They say Vitolo will receive £35m to pay his own termination clause, thereby becoming a free agent.

Vitolo, 27, will then sign for Las Palmas - who Marca describe as being a "channel" for Atletico to finally get their man.

He will play for Las Palmas until January before moving to Atletico to complete the deal.

Spain attacker Vitolo started his career at Las Palmas, and played for their B team before spending three years in the senior side from 2010.
