David Beckham inducted into Paris Saint-Germain ‘Hall of Fame’… despite playing just 14 games
French fans bemused as Ligue 1 giants list former England captain among the greats of the club

DAVID BECKHAM has been inducted into Paris Saint-Germain’s “Hall of Fame” – despite only playing 14 matches for the club.
The England legend was unveiled in the new roll of honour section of the French side’s website on Tuesday.
A number of iconic figures from PSG’s past are present.
Legends such as Ronaldinho, Bernard Lama and George Weah are in there along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And few could forgive the Parisian outfit’s fanbase for casting their minds back to the good times the stellar list of names brought to them down the years.
However, despite his own legendary status within the game, the inclusion of Golden Balls will have certainly raised a smile.
It was during the twilight of his career in January 2013 that Beckham arrived in the capital.
Aged 37, the ex-Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and AC Milan winger spent the last few months of his playing days with PSG.

He appeared 14 times in total without scoring a goal.
But it was not his performances on the pitch that secured him a spot among the other favourites.
As indicated on the website, he qualifies due to being an “icon of fashion” and “ambassador of charm”.
Beckham was not the only man included to draw criticism and bemusement from fans.
Former Bolton fave Jay-Jay Okocha was also an inductee.
And PSG followers were quick to point out that they would have preferred to see Vincent Guerin or Paul Le Guen instead of the Nigerian.
