The 22-year-old admits that new Norwich boss Daniel Farke convinced him Carrow Road was the best place for him next season.

Reed told Norwich's official site: "Speaking to the manager, it really encouraged me to join.

"From the outside, it’s a massive club pushing to get back to the Premier League.

"The philosophy here suits me down to the ground so I’m really excited and very happy it’s done."

Saints academy product Reed has made a total of 17 Prem appearances, with six outings in the cups.

But he found himself behind the likes of homegrown James Ward-Prowse last season.

He will now link up with his new team-mates at their re-season training camp in Ireland

Farke said: "Harrison is a young and talented player with lots of potential.

"He is technically very good with the ball and fits my idea of football.

"We will look to develop and improve him, so I'm looking forward to us working together."
