SAM ALLARDYCE’S retirement plans could be put on hold following MLS interest.
Allardyce, who quit as Crystal Palace boss in May after keeping the Eagles in the Premier League, is tempted by a return to the US.
Big Sam had a short spell with Tampa Bay Rowdies as a player in 1983 and always talks fondly of his spell in the States.
The ex-Bolton and Sunderland boss was appointed Palace boss in December following the sacking of Alan Pardew with the tough task of keeping the Eagles in the top flight.
Allardyce made some shrewd signings in the January transfer window including the additions of Mamadou Sakho and Luka Milivojevic.
The London side ended up finishing 14th in the table - seven points above the relegation zone, and boasted huge wins against Arsenal at home, and Chelsea and Liverpool away.
In over 20 years of management, he has never once been relegated from England's top-tier and is fifth on the list of gaffer's who have managed the most games in the Premier League.
In his exiting statement, he said: “I have no ambitions to take another job, I simply want to be able to enjoy all the things you cannot really enjoy with the 24/7 demands of managing any football club, let alone one in the Premier League.
