LIVERPOOL have launched a £25million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa according to reports in Spain.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a huge admirer of the 22-year-old, and is keen to strengthen his attack after the acquisition of Mohamed Salah from Roma.
According to Spanish news outlet , the Reds have offered the Argentinian international a five-year deal at Anfield.
The report states they are willing to pay him £2.4million a year to swap La Liga for the Premier League.
He is believed to be open to a move away from Diego Simeone's side after he struggled for game time last season, having to compete with Antoine Griezmann and fan favourite Fernando Torrres at the Vicente Calderon.
In 31 league matches he started just a mere ten times - playing 1218 minutes of football as he netted four goals in the top-flight for Los Colchoneros.
However, a move away from Atletico looks unlikely as they wouldn't be able to replace him this summer due to their transfer ban.
If Liverpool fail to acquire his services this transfer window, they could go back in for him in January when Atletico can register players once again.
