Ajax winger Millen Baars, 16, ‘confirms move to Manchester United’ amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal
Starlet was spotted by United scout Marcel Bout while working under Louis van Gaal and club kept interest
AJAX teenager Millen Baars has apparently confirmed his move to Manchester United amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 16-year-old left the Dutch side in the summer after reportedly agreeing a deal in principle to move to Old Trafford.
Now reports claim the move is official, with the youngster putting in his Instagram bio today: "Footballer for Manchester United."
Baars is a product of Ajax's youth academy and was scouted for United by Marcel Bout last year.
Bout was of course working under Louis van Gaal at the time. He was kept on under Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese kept up his interest.
It is believed that Baars told Ajax he wanted to leave in January but could not join the Red Devils until he was given international clearance.
His father Stefan said last year: "We have had talks with Ajax that were between Millen and the club.

"Ajax is a great club with a very good youth system, but they can unfortunately not cope so very well.
"You saw in the past with other youth players who now play at other clubs. But Millen was ready for a different challenge.
"There was interest from Italy, Portugal and England, but when he was at Chelsea and United to look, he knew he wanted to play in Manchester."
Man United transfer news

But they will be without Adnan Januzaj after they confirmed the 22-year-old had joined Real Sociedad.
