Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho makes approach for Serge Aurier as Dani Alves joins PSG
Right-back is unsure over his future with the Ligue 1 club after the arrival of Dani Alves on a free transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Serge Aurier, according to reports.
The right-back is unsure over his future with the Ligue 1 club after the arrival of Dani Alves on a free transfer.
French paper L'Equipe are now reporting that Aurier, 24, told PSG boss Unai Emery he wanted to leave at the end of last season.
And United have made enquires into a move for the Ivory Coast defender.
Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia were battling it out for the right-back position last season but Jose Mourinho is said to want more reinforcements.
Whether Aurier prefers to try his luck in England or Italy remains to be seen.
But there is every chance he will stay put at PSG, who are ready to embark on another spending spree after missing out on the Ligue 1 title.
Aurier has also been linked with Barcelona and may find the chance to play under Ernesto Valverde too good to turn down.
And Tottenham have also been linked with the former Toulouse star who joined PSG in 2015.
The North London club wants Aurier as a replacement for Kyle Walker if he leaves to join Manchester City.
United are currently doing pre-season training in Los Angeles, California.
But they will be without Adnan Januzaj after they confirmed the 22-year-old had joined Real Sociedad.
