Tiemoue Bakayoko’s brother confirms Monaco star’s £40m move to Chelsea on five-year deal

CHELSEA look to have completed a deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko after the Monaco midfielder's brother seemed to confirm it on social media.
Bakayoko, 22, has been chased by the Blues for a number of months but no deal has yet been struck between the two clubs.
But after reports emerged last night that a £39.7million deal was done last night, his brother has fuelled rumours with his latest Snapchat post.
Abdou Bakayoko posted a picture saying: "CFC 🔵💪."
Bakayoko is set to become Antonio Conte's second summer signing afdter the arrival of Antonio Rudiger for £34m last weekend.
French media outlet RMC via claims the midfielder will complete his medical this Friday ahead of completing his switch.
Bakayoko has long been on Chelsea’s wishlist following a barnstorming season for new Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
The France international played a key role as Leonardo Jardim’s underdogs battled their way to the Champions League semi-finals.

- Bakayoko, 22, was born in Paris on August 17 1994.
- He started played for Parisien side Paris 15eme O when he was just five
- Four years later, aged nine, he moved to another local team CA Paris Charenton and then on the Montrogue FC 92.
- He moved to Rennes in 2008 to join their academy when he was just 13.
- Bakayoko made 24 appearances for Rennes in midfield before being sold to Monaco in 2014 for £7million.
- He has played 92 games for Monaco in three seasons giving him 120 first-team appearances in total.
- Bakayoko earned his first France cap in March after coming on for Adrien Rabiot during a 2-0 defeat to Spain.
- He was the man who knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League with his header making it 6-6 on aggregate.
- He has been described as a less flashy, more defensive version of Paul Pogba.
Bakayoko now looks set to finally become a Blues player this week after a fee was agreed between the two clubs.
Chelsea expect a deal to go through and are sure to be pleased after seeing off a late threat from Manchester United.
