Chelsea agree four-year deal to keep teenage starlet Jake Clarke-Salter at Stamford Bridge
Teenager, 19, made his Blues debut in April 2016 and has won multiple youth trophies
CHELSEA have inked teenage starlet Jake Clarke-Salter to a new four-year deal.
The 19-year-old defender has been a star at Academy level and has won numerous trophies throughout the youth ranks.
Clarke-Salter spent last season on loan at Bristol Rovers, but managed only 12 League One matches in an injury hit season.
The highly-rated centre-back, who stands 6ft 2in, has also been capped at England U18, U19 and U20 level.
He was part of the England U20 squad that won the World Cup in South Korea last month, starting in the final.
Clarke-Salter conceded a controversial that was saved by Freddie Woodman.
The Carshalton-born defender has been with the Blues since he was nine - bar a season he spent at Sutton United when he was 11.
Clarke-Salter was handed his Chelsea debut by former boss Guus Hiddink in a 4-0 win at Aston Villa in April 2016.
He has helped Chelsea's academy to THREE FA Youth Cup wins and another two Uefa Youth League wins.
Clarke-Salter has captained the side through the youth ranks.
