Manchester City flop Nolito is close to a return to Spain with Sevilla.
The Spanish international is back on home soil and will undergo a medical next week at the Sanchez Pizjuan after a cut-price £8million fee was agreed.
The 30-year-old joined Pep Guardiola at the Etihad last summer from Celta Vigo for £13.8m and despite a good start to his debut season scored just six goals in 30 appearances for City.
The forward will pen a three-year deal with Sevilla and will link up with fellow new recruits Ever Banega, Luis Muriel, Guiodo Pizzaro and Sebastian Corchia.
Celta Vigo were prepared to take their former star on loan and Real Betis were also eyeing a short term deal as well.
But Nolito could not get out of England quick enough and was only interested in a permanent switch.
He struggled to adapt to life in England and with another three years left on his contract was itching for a quick return to Spain.
Last month the forward moaned about the Manchester weather claiming his daughter had changed colour due to the lack of sun and he had not learnt much English.

He revealed to Spanish radio station : “I have learnt very, very, little English – It’s very hard.
“My daughter’s face has changed colour — it looks like she’s been living in a cave.”
Sevilla are also tracking Jesus Navas who is free agent after his release from City.
Meanwhile another former City forward Steven Jovetic is still to agree a permanent switch to Sevilla.
The Montenegrin forward spent the second half of last season on loan from Inter Milan.
And if Los Rojiblancos failed to stump up the agreed £12m buy-out clause the 27-year-old will join Vicente Ibhorra, Adil Rami and Vitolo through the Sevilla exit door this summer.
