Neymar's current price tag is almost £200 million but according to his potential move isn't entirely an economic decision.

With Barcelona already stacked with stars, Neymar wants to step out on his own.

Lionel Messi has been a mentor to the 25-year-old but he is now ready to have a go on his own in an attempt to become the world's best player.

Despite four successful seasons at Camp Nou and picking up every major title, he is still after one more thing.

The Ballon d'Or, which will be extremely difficult to achieve while he is suited up next to Messi.

However Barcelona are reluctant to lose Neymar even if they do sign Verratti from PSG and don't believe that any team will be willing to pay his hefty release clause.

The contact between Neymar's representatives and PSG has sent waves through the betting world also.

William Hill suspended betting on the possible move following a London based gamble saw his odds fall from 16/1 to 7/4.

He was 2/5 to stay with Barcelona before the market came down.
