Ross Barkley wants staggering £150,000-a-week to join Tottenham while Everton demand £50m
Spurs and the Toffees seem to be no nearer to completing a deal and now the midfielder's wage demands have become and issue
ROSS BARKLEY is reportedly demanding £150,000-a-week to join Tottenham — nearly £30,000 more than Harry Kane is on.
Spurs were interested in the Everton midfielder but the Toffees' asking price of £50million has put the club on hold.
And, according to the , Spurs have been put off even more by Barkley's outrageous wage demands.
Harry Kane — who has won the Premier League Golden Boot two years in a row — and France international Hugo Lloris are only on around £120,000-a-week.
Tottenham believe Barkley should be valued at around £15m as he only has a year remaining on his contract.
Barkley is not in Ronald Koeman's squad to face FC Twente and Genk at the weekend after missing the friendly in Tanzania last week with a groin injury.
The report suggests and compromise on the fee will be reached but the wage demands are now a sticking point in the deal.
Koeman is also likely to want to get a deal done soon to end the matter before the start of the season.
