JAY RODRIGUEZ scored a stunning first goal for West Brom in a pre-season game against Leicester City.
The Baggies striker was signed for £12million earlier this summer, after two years of injury hell at Southampton.
The former Burnley striker, 27, had been on the edge of the England World Cup squad in 2014 before a serious knee injury derailed his promising career.
Rodriguez managed just nine Premier League starts and scored only five goals last season.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis jumped at the chance to sign Rodriguez - and in a friendly in Hong Kong, the striker gave a glimpse of what could be to come next season.
On his first start for the club, Rodriguez picked up the ball about 25 yards out.
Turning, he took another touch before unleashing a rocket past Ben Hamer.
Pulis has only made one other signing so far this summer, bringing in Chinese international Zhang Yuning - who has already gone on a two-year loan to Werder Bremen.
