MOHAMED ELNENY rejected the chance to join Leicester because he loves life in London.

Arsenal accepted a £10million bid for the Egypt midfielder, 25, and allowed him to speak to the Foxes about a move.

But, despite starting just eight of his 14 Premier League appearances last season, Elneny turned Leicester down.

Elneny has settled in the capital since his £5m move from FC Basel last January.

SunSport understands the player is happy to stay at the Emirates even if his playing time is limited.

The Gunners are willing to part with Elneny as they have Francis Coquelin, Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who can play in his position.

Jack Wilshere is also still on Arsenal's books - despite being told he can leave the club.

And Leicester could come back in for Elneny, who has three years left on his current deal, in January.
