KYLE WALKER says he left Spurs in order to win trophies with Manchester City, reports claim.
His move from the club came just a couple of months after saying he was "Tottenham 'till I die".
The English defender said he was hoping at Man City he will be able to fulfil his dream of lifting a trophy, according to .
The 27-year-old spent eight years with Spurs and they failed to win a major trophy in that time.
Their last was the League Cup a year before Walker signed with the club.
The club did reach two League Cup finals in that time but were unable to get their name on any silverware.
But that isn't enough for Walker who explained he needed to leave his "comfort zone" and search for a "new challenge".
He believes that will be in Manchester where he signed in a £50 million deal to become the most expensive defender ever.
