Arsenal players recover from mystery illness and report fit for training as it is revealed they were NOT food poisoned
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had claimed his players had been hit by food poisoning - but it was actually a stomach bug
ARSENAL'S players have all reported back fit for training today - after it was revealed it was NOT food poisoning that swept through the squad.
In the friendly win against Bayern Munich yesterday (Wednesday), new signing Sead Kolasinac vomited on the pitch and was taken off in the first half.
Olivier Giroud and Per Mertesacker were ruled out completely after becoming ill, while Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey played on despite not being near 100 per cent.
After the game, Wenger said that "food poisoning" was the culprit behind so many of his players being struck down.
He said: “Elneny played at the back because our centre-backs, one was sick with food poisoning and we had to send him back to hotel. Koscielny had problem with his back.
“So they were not available.
“Giroud was sick and had to stay at the hotel. Kolasinac was sick as well.
"Walcott, Aaron, all had a little bit of food poisoning as well. The doctor thinks it is food poisoning.”

The players are set to take part in a light training session today before leabing Shanghai for Beijing for their final match of the four-game tour - against Chelsea.
