EVERTON have been handed a boost in their chase of Olivier Giroud after Borussia Dortmund claim Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be sold.
The German club were rivalling the Toffees for the Arsenal star as a replacement for the Gabon striker.
But the are now reporting Dortmund have dropped out of the race as Aubameyang will not be leaving the Westfalenstadion this summer.
Giroud could leave the Emirates after he has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates since the arrival of £52million Alexandre Lacazette.
Everton have been the front-runners for the £20m-rated former Montpellier attacker.
West Ham have pulled out of the race after being priced out by the fee and his wage demands.
Giroud saw limited playing time last season for the Gunners after once being the clubs undisputed top striker.
But with the emergence of Alexis Sanchez and now Lacazette, Giroud would spend even more time on the bench.

Last season he played in 39 games scoring 16 goals at the club he has spent the past five seasons with.
