Arsene Wenger growing increasingly confident Arsenal can seal deal for Monaco ace Thomas Lemar this summer
Gunners reportedly poised to finally land French international winger and hopeful fee can be agreed
ARSENAL are confident that Thomas Lemar wants to join the club from Monaco.
The Gunners have been chasing the French winger all summer and are desperate to get a deal over the line.
Arsenal were willing to pay £45m for the ace but could raise extra funds by clearing out a number of fringe men.
Jack Wilshere, Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs are all believed to be available for transfer.
They also accepted a £10m offer from Leicester for midfielder Mohamed Elneny, although the Egyptian rejected the chance to move to the King Power Stadium.
The transfer coffers could be further boosted by the sale of striker Olivier Giroud.
Lemar, currently on a pre-season trip in Switzerland with Monaco, is doing nothing to squash rumours of his desire to move to move to North London.
Meanwhile, Wenger has made a huge breakthrough in contract talks with Mesut Ozil.
The German forward is set to sign a new deal at the Emirates worth around £280,000-a-week.
