CHELSEA are eyeing a sensational swoop for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Just days after the Blues completed the £65million signing of Alvaro Morata, they are set to look closer to home for their next addition.
Oxlade-Chamberlain only has one year to run on his contract, and report that he has told Gunners boss Arsene Wenger he has "no intention of signing the extension on offer".
That has alerted Chelsea and Antonio Conte, who is looking to bolster his squad in the hope of challenging on all fronts next season.
But Wenger remains 100 per cent confident the 23-year-old former Southampton man will sign a new deal, despite the Gunners not playing Champions League football next season.
The likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are also believed to be closely monitoring Oxlade-Chamberlain's situation at the Emirates.
SunSport reported earlier this month how one stumbling block to Oxlade-Chamberlain signing a new deal could be assurances on his first-team future.
The Ox was waiting for a new contract offer from the Gunners, but he also wants a regular place in the starting line-up.

Now the Ox wants answers before deciding whether to commit long term to Arsene Wenger’s outfit.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal in 2011 and has gone on to turn out for the club 194 times, including 129 appearances in the Premier League.
He made 48 appearances for club and country last season, scoring seven times.
