Swansea make £3million bid for Andy Yiadom as they up their pursuit of Barnsley full-back
Swansea come back in with an improved offer after their first bid was rejected
SWANSEA have made a £3million bid for Barnsley full-back Andy Yiadom.
Swans boss Paul Clement has moved to the front of the queue for the 25-year-old, with Huddersfield also interested.
Barnsley have rejected three bids from David Wagner to take Yiadom from Championship to Premier League.
Wagner was prepared to pay £2million for the wing-back to be part of his top-flight squad next season.
But the Tykes refused are refusing to budge on their asking price and must now consider Swansea’s bid for him to leave Oakwell.
Reading have also been weighing up a bid for Yiadom but he now has Premier League interest.
Yiadom has made a stunning rise from non-league football and League Two with Barney before catching the eye of clubs in the second-tier.
