HUDDERSFIELD boss David Wagner is ready to sign French right back Dimitri Cavare in his latest swoop for the Premier League new boys.
The French right-back played for the Terriers in their 1-0 win over Barnsley on Saturday.
And he will line up again for Wagner’s side in Wednesday’s friendly with Italian side Udinese as he bids to clinch a move.
Cavare, 22, is free to move from Rennes after losing his place in the side last season.
He was highly-rated as a teenager and cost £1.5million from Lens in 2015.
But a severe knee injury has since stalled his progression and the defender has been limited to just two Ligue 1 appearances in as many years.
Huddersfield want a new right back to compete with skipper Tommy Smith having failed in a bid to buy Barnsley's Andy Yiadom.
Wagner has already made NINE summer signings since earning a shock promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs last season.
