Everton striker Oumar Niasse chased by Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle
EVERTON striker Oumar Niasse is being chased by Brighton, Burnley, and Newcastle.
SunSport understands Premier League new boys Brighton have moved into pole-position to land the Senegalese striker, who is desperate to end his Goodison Park nightmare.
Niasse spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull and hit four goals in 17 Premier League outings.
The 27-year-old joined Everton for £13.5m from Lokomotiv Moscow last winter under former Toffees boss Roberto Martinez.
The Merseyside move has been a total disaster for Niasse as new boss Ronald Koeman told the striker he has no future at the club.
The Toffees will allow the forward to leave on loan with an option for a permanent switch, but are looking to recoup at least £10m.
Those numbers have not put off Seagulls boss Chris Hughton, who is looking to bolster his attacking options for their first ever Premier League campaign.
Forwards Sam Baldock and Glenn Murray have limited experience at elite level and Niasse’s pace could prove key to their survival.
Hughton has also been linked with a move for West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher.
Toon boss Rafa Benitez has privately voiced his concerns about the business done at St James’ Park.
Benitez has not added striker of any note to his squad who returned to the top flight at the first time of asking last season.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche has signed Jonathan Walters this summer and is fighting to keep Andre Gray who has attracted interest from the Hammers.
