Coco has impressed since breaking into the Guingamp team two years ago.
His club have a track record of producing players and had Laurent Koscielny in their ranks before he moved to England.
And the France Under-21 international is the next player tipped to make the grade from the Ligue 1 side, with a move to the Premier League looking increasingly likely.
He has three years left on his current contract but will be allowed to leave for the right price.
Benitez and Wagner have both been attracted to him as he can also slot in as a pact full-back as well as a winger.
Wagner is also after Moroccan midfielder Sabiri after he made waves in the German second division.
Nuremberg may not be willing to play ball, however, as sporting director Andreas Bornemann expressed his interest in keeping hold of the player.
