CHELSEA’S hopes of signing Alex Sandro have been dealt a huge blow as Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri insisted he would not be selling the star.
Antonio Conte has been linked with a move for the Brazilian all summer.
He is keen for competition in his squad and wanted to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have had at least two bids rejected by the Serie A giants this transfer window.
And any chances of him and the Blues striking up a deal with the defender have been dashed by the Juve manager.
Speaking after his side defeated Roma on penalties in a friendly on Sunday, Allegri offered an update on his future.
He said: “He is extraordinary player and won’t be leaving Juventus.
“Alex Sandro is an extraordinary player who has been much improved since he came and still has a lot of improvement.

“Together with Marcelo I think they are the strongest left backs in the world.”
Sandro has still not signed a new contract with Juventus as question marks still remain on his future.
His current deal runs until 2020 but he has been offered a new-and-improved wages to try and get him to extend.
Reports suggested Juve were prepared to pay him £84,000-a-week in an effort to fend off a £61million bid from Chelsea.
Sandro is a Brazil international and has been capped seven times by his country.
He has won the league in both seasons with Juventus since his arrival from Porto in 2015.
