TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR and Inter Milan have allegedly emerged as favourites to sign defender Serge Aurier, according to French reports.
claim that Spurs and Inter have edged ahead of Manchester United in the race for Aurier's signature.
The Red Devils had reportedly agreed personal terms with the Paris Saint-Germain full-back, in a deal worth £30m.
However, the French outlet allege that Milan and Spurs are the only clubs expressing a serious interest in the player.
Between the two battling it out, Tottenham are in the driving seat, as the Italian side cannot offer Champions League football.
The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour at the French club due to multiple disciplinary issues.
He is still technically banned from entering the UK, after being convicted of assaulting a police officer last year.
The Ivorian has a hearing scheduled for August 7, which will determine the likelihood of any proposed move to an English side.

Aurier was also suspended for by PSG in last year after slamming former manager Laurent Blanc and several team-mates during a Periscope stream.
This fiery temperament resulted in him losing his place in the team to Belgian Thomas Meunier.
The French team recently signed Dani Alves from Juventus, signalling that Aurier is definitely not in Unai Emery's plans for the upcoming season.
Spurs will be looking to fill the void left by the departing Kyle Walker, who left to Manchester City in a deal worth £50m.
Walker was a mainstay in Mauricio Pochettino's side, but behind-the-scenes conflict saw him opt for Kieran Tripper halfway through last season.
Owner Daniel Levy will have to cough up the cash if they want to compete with the financial power of Manchester United.
