TOTTENHAM have been dealt a blow with AC Milan star Suso close to agreeing a new deal.
report the former Liverpool midfielder and his representatives are in talks with the Serie A giants to extend his stay in Italy.
Spurs have been trying to lure the Spaniard back to the Premier League as the player's stock has risen since his departure from Anfield in 2014.
The 23-year-old has become an important part of the Milan set up and boss Vincenzo Montella is desperate for Suso to commit his long-term future to the club.
Suso made 37 appearances for Milan last term and bagged seven goals.
