Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola continues clear-out as Fernando joins Galatasaray on three-year deal for £5.5m
The Brazilian midfielder will follow Kelechi Iheanacho through the Etihad door with Samir Nasri and Fabian Delph also surplus to requirements
MANCEHSTER CITY’S summer clear-out has gathered pace with Fernando on his way Galatasaray for £5.5million.
The have reported the midfielder is set for a medical with the Turkish giants after three years at the Etihad.
Fernando was left out of City’s pre-season tour of the United States and was told he has no future under boss Pep Guardiola.
The Brazilian has only featured once since last December – an FA cup draw at Huddersfield.
After a summer spending spree of £220m – City sporting director Txiki Bergiristan has been given the job off clearing the decks and finding clubs for players surplus to requirements this summer.
City have so far sold Kelechi Iheanacho to Leicesster for £25m and are looking to offload Samir Nasri, Fabian Delph, Wilfried Bony and Eliaquim Mangala.
Guardiola confirmed he expects Nasri to depart before the end of the transfer window, however Mangala has snubbed a switch to Spartak Moscow.
Bony who cost £28m from Swansea in 2015 has failed to make an impact at the Etihad is desperate to kick-start his career elsewhere.
