Sportswear giant Nike, who sponsor Mbappe and make the PSG kit, are said to be desperate for the teenager to link up with Neymar.

And respected journalist Julien Maynard who works for TF1 wrote: "Kylian Mbappe gives his prefernece to PSG!

"Paris will now enter into negotiations with Monaco and quickly formulate a first offer."

It had appeared Mbappe would be on his way to Real Madrid - especially after images of a young Mbappe showed his bedroom lined with posters of Cristiano Ronaldo.

And reports last week suggested he had gone as far as telling Los Blancos he wanted to join them.

However, it has been claimed Real have since shelved their plans to land him after telling Manchester United target Gareth Bale he does have a future at the Bernabeu.
