Danny Rose says Tottenham must exorcise Wembley demons to avoid suffering a ‘long, miserable season’

TOTTENHAM star Danny Rose is adamant they must exorcise their Wembley demons or suffer a “long, miserable and difficult season”.
Spurs are moving into the national stadium for this season after their historic White Hart Lane was bulldozed, with a new ground being built next door.
But in contrast to winning all of their last 17 matches at the Lane, Spurs crashed out of both the Champions League and the Europa League at the first hurdle while playing their European fixtures at Wembley last term.
And 27-year-old Rose said: “I think it is worrying how we performed at Wembley.
“I am not sure why — even at the training ground we have made one pitch exactly the same size as Wembley.
“We can’t blame the atmosphere either — at one of those Champions League games the atmosphere was brilliant.
“But if we had played the Champions League at White Hart Lane, it’d have been a different story.
“I can’t even put my finger on why.
