ANDY YIADOM is having a medical at Huddersfield ahead of his planned move from Barnsley.
The 25-year-old full-back is set to complete the short trip up from Oakwell after a breakthrough in talks between the Yorkshire clubs.
David Wagner has beaten Swansea to his signature, with the Welsh club bidding £3million but failing to secure a deal.
Yiadom will be Huddersfield’s ELEVENTH signing in a hectic summer of transfers following promotion to the Premier League.
Steve Mounie, Laurent Depoitre, Mathias Jorgensen, Jonas Lossl, Aaron Mooy, Tom Ince, Kasey Palmer, Danny Williams, Scott Malone and Elias Kachunga have already arrived.
And Yiadom will compete for a place after a stunning rise from non-league football and League Two with Barnet before catching the eye of clubs in the second tier.
He moved to Barnsley a year ago but only had a year left on his contract, sparking interest from clubs in taking him on a cut-price deal this window.
Yiadom, who can play on both flanks, was called up to the Ghana squad as reward for his fine form and he went to the African Cup of Nations.

His departure is a blow for Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom, after Yiadom made 32 appearances in the Sky Bet Championship.
Barnsley could look to sign American Eric Lichaj from Nottingham Forest, a defender that could be an excellent replacement for the Ghanaian international.
Lichaj, like Yiadom, has the ability to play at both left-back and right-back, as well as having a wealth of experience in the Championship.
The 28-year-old arrived at the City Ground in 2013, and has since gone on to make 150 Championship appearances for Forest, including 41 during the 2016/17 campaign.
