Real Madrid’s amazing response after Kylian Mbappe ‘demanded £200k-a-week wages’ to join Bernabeu
Paris Saint-Germain have landed the Monaco hotshot for a staggering £160MILLION ahead of their Spanish rivals
REAL MADRID lost out on Kylian Mbappe after refusing to meet his astonishing financial demands, according to reports.
And the opportunity to link up with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain was too big to pass up.
PSG last night landed the Monaco sensation for a staggering £160MILLION.
Real were favourites to sign Mbappe, but instead Qatari-backed PSG won the race for the 18-year-old.
According to respected Spanish journalist Hector Fernandez, Mbappe wanted £200,000-a-week to join the Bernabeu.
But Real simply responded: "Congratulations and good luck in Paris."
PSG's players have been told Mbappe is set to be unveiled at the Parc des Princes as soon as Monday.
He joins £198m Brazilian forward Neymar at the Ligue 1 giants to form one of the most mouth-watering attacks in the world.
Real Madrid transfer news
Monaco were desperate to hold onto Mbappe despite interest from Real.
But the youngster's father convinced the club to let him leave this summer instead of hanging on for another 12 months.
That left PSG free to begin negotiations and a deal was swiftly reached once they matched Los Blancos' offer.
