Arsenal star Jack Wilshere targeted by Juventus as Serie A giants join Newcastle, Roma and AC Milan in race for his signature
The 25-year-old Gunners midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Emirates all summer as he enters last year of his contract
JUVENTUS have joined their Serie A rivals in the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to reports.
The Gunners star has fallen down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger.
And reports in Italy suggest Juve have entered the hunt in luring him away from North London.
They state that they have identified the 25-year-old as a potential recruit as he enters the last year of his contract.
SunSport exclusively revealed Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has stepped up his efforts to bring him to St James' Park.
Roma, AC Milan and Sampdoria are also all interested in the England ace, with the latter having a £7.5million offer knocked back by Arsenal.
Wilshere could be poised to link up former Gunners team-mate and close pal Wojciech Szczesny, who signed a four-year deal at the Old Lady last month.
His first-team chances look to be limited this season if he stays with the Community Shield winners, as Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and even Mohamed Elneny are preferred by Wenger.
However it is believed he wants to stay at the Emirates and force his way back into contention under the legendary Frenchman.
The ex-Bolton star will be in action for Arsenal's Under-23 side tonight against Derby U23s in a bid to get him back to match fitness.
He didn't take part in any match in pre-season for the Gunners, and was not included in the squad that beat Leicester 4-3 last Friday night.
Last campaign he was on loan at Bournemouth where an injury he picked up against Tottenham in April once again cut short his season.
His form often dipped with the Cherries during his 27 appearances for Eddie Howe's men.
