Fabinho ‘demands urgent meeting’ with Monaco and agent Jorge Mendes to resolve his future with PSG favourites to sign him

FABINHO has asked for an "urgent reunion" with Monaco chiefs where he will demand a move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France.

The deep-lying Brazilian was one of the stand-out stars of the star-studded Principality side last season — and attracted interest from some of the biggest teams in Europe.

reveal he will make his intentions clear to the Monaco board, and has asked his agent Jorge Mendes to be present for the meeting.

Atletico Madrid and Juventus were thought to be keen on Fabinho, while he has often spoken of his desire to play for Manchester United and under Jose Mourinho again.

However, he is now thought to only want a move to PSG.

The same source added that the 23-year-old spoke to Brazil manager Tite, who advised him to join the big-spending French capital side and bolster his World Cup chances.

Like Kylian Mbappe, Fabinho's desire is likely driven by the differing ambitions of the two Ligue 1 title rivals.

While Monaco have allowed Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy to leave, PSG have broken the world transfer record to bring in Neymar from Barcelona for £198million — and brought in Dani Alves on a free.

And they are looking to further improve their squad, by bringing in the Mbappe and Fabinho.

Furthermore, they appear to have resisted strong interest from Barcelona to keep Marco Verratti at the club.
