WEST BROM are in talks with Tottenham over a £15million move for Kevin Wimmer, according to reports.
The Austrian could arrive at the Hawthorns as a potential replacement for Jonny Evans, who has emerged as a shock target for Manchester City.
According to the , Tony Pulis has made a move for the defender and is hoping to complete the signing in a matter of days.
Wimmer has been made available by Spurs as Mauricio Pochettino eyes reinforcements after failing to add to his squad so far this summer.
Talks between the two Premier League clubs are now at an advanced stage.
If things go to plan, the 24-year-old could be available for selection for Pulis ahead of their EFL Cup clash against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday evening.
Stoke and Crystal Palace were also linked with a move for Wimmer but it appears as though the Baggies are in pole position to clinch his signature.
It is believed Pulis has ditched plans to sign Middlesbrough star Ben Gibson after previously planning a bid.
