Serge Aurier ‘undergoes Tottenham medical’ ahead of £23m move from PSG
Ivory Coast defender is now just awaiting a work permit following an assault charge he received in September
SERGE AURIER has undergone a medical ahead of a £23million switch to Tottenham, according to reports.
Paris Saint-Germain have already agreed to sell the right-back following the arrival of Dani Alves this summer.
Manchester United had also agreed personal terms with Aurier this month but it appears they have lost out to Tottenham.
Legal issues surrounding the Ivory Coast star are stalling any move to the Premier League.
Aurier, 24, is awaiting clearance on a work permit following an assault charge he received in September.
But reports he is ready to cross the Channel as soon as possible having had a medical in Paris.
And the move could be announced in just a matter of days, with the transfer window slamming shut in one week.
However, since Aurier's medical took place in the French capital, it suggest he is still forbidden from entering the UK.
Spurs have not yet replaced Kyle Walker following his £50m Manchester City swap.
Kieran Trippier is the North London club's current right-back and youngster Kyle Walker-Peters enjoyed a Man of the Match display against Newcastle on the opening Prem weekend.
Aurier has Champions League experience and has won two Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups and French League Cups.
But the former Toulouse ace comes with a controversial track record.
