Manchester United to hand Luke Shaw 12-month contract extension
Red Devils are looking to protect their investment after paying Southampton £33million for the England left-back
LUKE SHAW is in line for a 12-month deal extension so Manchester United can protect their investment.
The £33million star, 22, has ten months to run on his £130,000-a-week contract.
Shaw is yet to feature this term after damaging ankle ligaments last season.
But the left-back, criticised by boss Jose Mourinho in the past, has impressed in two starts for the Under-23s.
Mourinho said Shaw was "a long way behind" his team-mates in terms of attitude and professionalism in April.
But the England ace vowed to prove his worth this term.
He said: "I feel that this is my season to prove myself and I’m feeling in good shape.
"I want to show everyone that I believe in myself and show the manager that.
