Angel Di Maria asks PSG boss Unai Emery to let him join Barcelona and be with Lionel Messi

ANGEL DI MARIA has told Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery he wants to join Barcelona, according to reports.

The Argentina speedster is said to be dead set on teaming up with international pal Lionel Messi, say Sport.

Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho remains the Nou Camp side's top target.

But reports today claim a "desperate" Plan B will see them go in again for Juventus' Paulo Dybala after having a £148m bid rejected.

SunSport told you Coutinho has pleaded with the Liverpool board to allow him to leave.

Barca's other Plan B before this one included a move for ex-Manchester United flop Di Maria.

Sport go on to claim that the Parc des Princes midfielder is second on their list of potential signings.

They say Barca chiefs know Di Maria wants to sign - but that negotiating with PSG supremos will be tricky after the world-record £198m sale of Neymar.
