Chelsea star Eden Hazard hails Cesc Fabregas as ‘The Master’ for his skills AND intelligence

EDEN HAZARD has hailed Cesc Fabregas as ‘The Master’ at Chelsea for his skills AND intelligence.

Spain midfielder Fabregas has  won the World Cup and European Championship, as well as countless honours in England and Barcelona.

Hazard, 26, said: “Cesc is the master. I call him ‘The Master’ because he does what he wants.

“He can put the ball behind the defensive line, he can score big goals. He understands football very well.”

Both Fabregas, 30, and Hazard are united in their main goal for this season — to win the Champions League.

The Blues host Qarabag, from Azerbaijan, in their first Group C match next Tuesday.

Hazard said: “The Champions League is special because I’ve never won it. I got to the semi-finals in 2014 and now I want to play in the final and win it.

“At this moment Real Madrid are the best team in the world. They have won everything and have good players and a great coach. Now, the Champions League is very hard to win.”

Hazard played in both Belgium’s qualifiers this week as they became the first Uefa side to qualify for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

He is set to return for Chelsea at Leicester on Saturday after ankle surgery.

Hazard hopes the champions can get  striker Diego Costa playing.

He said: “I hope he can find a solution so that we can see him back on the pitch soon.”
