Manchester United transfer news: Red Devils and Chelsea eye Liverpool midfielder Emre Can with German out of contract next summer
German international is free to talk to foreign clubs from January but the Reds Premier League rivals are also interested
MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea are eyeing up moves for unsettled Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, according to reports.
The German international has less than a year left on his contract and has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks.
But Italian paper are now reporting that two of the Reds biggest Premier League rivals are readying moves for Can.
Bayern Munich are also reportedly admirers of Can, 23, who will be able to speak to foreign clubs in January over a possible move.
Liverpool are unlikely to want to see one of their stars move to their arch rivals United and would prefer him move abroad.
The Reds are still hopeful they can convince the former Bayer Leverkusen man to commit his future to the Anfield club.
But if Can decides to move on, he will be able to do so for free next summer and Liverpool would be powerless to stop him joining United.
Chelsea are also said to be interested as Antonio Conte is reportedly still not happy with the additions to his squad made in the last transfer window.

Juventus still looks like the most likely destination for Can who could tie him down to a pre-contract in January.
They even had a £23million bid rejected by the Merseyside club on deadline day last Thursday but are willing to go back in for him.
The Serie A giants could also make a £9m bid in January to secure his services and beat off any competition from United, Chelsea and Bayern.
Can joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bayer Levekusen and is one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet.
He scored twice against Hoffenheim last month to help the Anfield club secure Champions League football.
