ANDRES INIESTA has denied claims he has agreed a new deal at Barcelona, with Juventus ready to snap him up next summer on a free transfer.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently claimed the 33-year-old had reached an agreement in principle to extend his stay in Catalonia.
However, that statement has been rebuffed by the 2010 World Cup winner when he arrived at El Prat airport fresh from Spain's 8-0 romp against Liechtenstein in a World Cup qualifier.
When asked by reporters if it is true he had agreed a new contract, Iniesta bluntly responded saying: "It is not."
As well as starring in the mauling against the European minnows, he also was instrumental in the 3-0 win over Italy.
And that is where his future could lie next campaign, with the Old Lady desperate to acquire his services to bring him to Serie A.
Speaking to recently, Bartomeu said: "We already have an agreement in principle to renew [his contract] and we hope to finalise it in the coming weeks.
"We are waiting these days to keep talking but Iniesta is a player that we want [to see] retire here and that he retires when he thinks he wants to retire.

"The idea is that he has an indefinite contract where it renews automatically every year until he thinks that he can retire or change.
“In the end, Andres is a player like Leo [Messi] of one club and known for their commitment and fidelity.
“They are an example for the boys of La Masia and for the new generations.”
But Barca fans may have to come to the realisation that they could see their skipper depart La Liga, as disputes with the board continue.
In an interview with Cadena Ser last season, Iniesta revealed: "What I'm not going to do is be here just for the sake of being here."
And in a separate interview he openly admitted he was considering a move away from Spain, declaring: "I have felt many strange feelings for the first time, but I think this may be normal.
"It is a situation I could never have imagined three years ago.
"Basically, I'm considering my future, which is something I would never have done before."
