DAVID SULLIVAN'S emails to Sporting Lisbon showing West Ham's failed offer for William Carvalho have been revealed.
But the Hammers have been trolled on social media after revealing they expected to qualify for the Champions League - despite losing the first three games of the season.
revealed the content of the emails, which confirmed they offered £22.85m for Carvalho, plus add-ons.
West Ham wanted to pay three instalments for the player over 24 months and add a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
But fans could not get their heads around one of the add-on clauses: that they would pay Sporting a bonus if they qualified for the Champions League.
The Hammers are currently rock bottom of the Premier League with three games played and have conceded 10 goals so far this term.
And at the bottom of the email, dated August 11, 2017, he added: "We wish to conclude this asap or we'll be borrowing a player from PSG."
Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho told TV in Portugal: "Where is it? Proof?

"I've had them for almost the whole squad: West Ham supporters call Mr Sullivan and his brother, the Dildo Brothers...
"These messengers, these offended virgins, the president of West Ham... we must know the truth."
Now it seems a version of the truth has been unveiled to the public over the failed deal, which has caused so much bickering from hundreds of miles away.
Carvalho, 25, was part of Portugal's team that won Euro 2016 last summer and has been linked to Manchester United in the past.
West Ham claimed they are set to commence legal proceedings against Sporting for comments made in the aftermath of the transfer deadline day on August 31.
Sullivan said last week: "It is no secret that we made a club record bid for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho but unfortunately that offer was rejected a couple of weeks ago.
"Late last night Sporting Lisbon made contact to accept the original offer but unfortunately it was too late in the day, and we simply did not have enough time to put the player through a medical.
"We were not prepared, as a club, to buy a player for that amount of money without him having gone through adequate medical checks."
