Chelsea and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Uruguay teenager Sebastian Caceres – but face massive competition from Barcelona
Uruguay Under-18 captain has broken into the Liverpool FC team in Montevideo and has been tipped for a move to Europe
CHELSEA and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Uruguay teenager Sebastian Caceres – but face massive competition to land him.
Barcelona are also eyeing the centre-back, who has just turned 18 but is playing first-team football.
Caceres has broken into the Liverpool FC team in Montevideo and has been tipped for a move to Europe.
Manchester City were monitoring the Uruguay Under-18 captain.
But there is now a race to land the youngster.
Caceres trained with Feyenoord previously but the Dutch club could not thrash out a deal to sign him.
He doesn’t require a work permit as he holds a Spanish passport, making it easier to seal a move away from Uruguay.
The defender’s representative Nick Maytum, from TMG Football, is England-based which could work in favour of Premier League clubs.
