BARCELONA will finally complete the signing of defender Yerry Mina after the 2018 World Cup, according to reports in Catalonia.
The Colombian central defender has been a long-term target for the Nou Camp giants, and they recently triggered an £8.7million option to buy him, which has been in place since May 2016.
They agreed to let Mina stay with Palmeiras until the end of the season in Brazil, similar to the arrangement Manchester City secured when they signed Gabriel Jesus.
report Nou Camp director Pep Segura met with his Palmeiras counterpart Alexandre Mattos in Barcelona, where it was confirmed the 22-year-old would move next summer.
It was initially thought the switch would officially happen in January.
However, Palmeiras insist they want to keep him until at least the World Cup.
Colombia are in a good position to reach Russia, as they sit in third place in South American qualifying — two ahead of future team-mate Lionel Messi's Argentina, who are in danger of missing out.
Mina is one of the best young defenders around at the moment, and Barcelona are looking to gradually bring down the average age of their backline.

And last season's signing Samuel Umtiti has not yet shown he is up to the task.
They have also brought in 23-year-old right-back Nelson Semedo.
