Manchester United and Tottenham were both hoping to try and lure the him to England, but their hopes of bringing the ace to these shores have now ended.

As SunSport reported earlier this month, his fine form for the Champions League holders has now been rewarded by Bernabue chiefs.

And to ensure they can keep hold of the 25-year-old, they have slapped the whopping buy-out clause into the deal.

Madrid president Florentino Perez confirmed Isco, who was out of contract at the end of the current season, had agreed an extension last week.

He told Cadena SER: “Isco arrived here when he was very young and all he has done is improve.
