Isco, Marcelo and Dani Carvajal are the three who have already signalled their intent by penning fresh terms.

And it’s believed Raphael Varane and Marco Asensio will soon follow suit as Zinedine Zidane looks to tie down the club’s younger key men.

Benzema is currently tied down until 2019 and earns £150,000-a-week at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But he should expect to see his wages rise dramatically after helping Real win three Champions Leagues in the last four years.

Benzema has also scored an incredible 181 goals as he enters his ninth La Liga season in the Spanish capital.

And after being linked with a shock move abroad during the summer, he insists he has no desire to play anywhere else.

Benzema told BeIn France: “It is the best club in the world, it is a pleasure and makes me proud.

“The expectations are very big, and every season you start from scratch. You have to work to keep yourself at the highest level.

“If you are a starter here, you do not need to go elsewhere. I think we are in one of the best stages of Real Madrid’s history.

“The team is very strong and it’s not just a matter of those who are usually the starters; the subs also make a difference.”
