LAS PALMAS have been labelled "fascists" by their own fans after the club revealed they would wear a special kit with a Spain flag woven into it for the La Liga clash with Barcelona.
Voting for Catalan independence takes place today amid clashes — with police using rubber bullets in attempt to stop people, with the voting having been declared "illegal" by Spain's constitutional court.
Barcelona have asked for today's match to be postponed, with the city engulfed in chaos.
But, should it go ahead, Las Palmas have stoked the fires by confirming they will wear a one-off shirt for the game with a Spain flag alongside the date.
A club statement read that their reasoning is they "believe in a united Spain".
However, their decision has not gone down well with their own fans — with many labelling them "fascists" on Twitter.
Info UD Las Palmas called the club a "disgrace" and claims they do not represent his own views.
When challenged as to why he felt that way, he insisted they are only putting the flag on their shirts to "provoke" and "earn more TV minutes".

Others displayed the official flag of Las Palmas, and said the club should used that instead.
The referendum has caused a huge divide in Spain — and the police's brutality in dealing with voters has lead to widespread criictisim.
