MESUT OZIL has reportedly told Arsenal team-mates that he will be joining Manchester United.
The German, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is said to be confident of a reunion with former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
The 29-year-old looks certain to leave north London on a free transfer and Old Trafford is his preferred destination.
However, Arsenal are open to selling him in January, with Arsene Wenger confirming as much in a recent press conference.
And report that Ozil is closing in on a stunning move to Old Trafford next summer.
The playmaker remains close to Mourinho after their time together at the Santiago Bernabeu.

And the presence of Ozil in his United squad would bolster the Special One's chances of winning the Premier League title.
The midfielder would surely cost a fair amount despite his dwindling contract, however.
And Ozil's wage demands could even exceed the £300,000-a-week mark.
But United are determined to bring the good times back to the Theatre of Dreams, and Ozil may finally properly settle into life in England should a move happen to occur.
Arsene Wenger admitted last week that the Gunners could sell Ozil in January rather than risk losing him for nothing in July.
The French boss said: "Once you are in our kind of situation we have envisaged every kind of solution yes, it’s possible."
Ozil, who has been locked in contract talks with Arsenal for months, is some way off agreeing terms with the Gunners.
Arsenal have already offered Ozil - as well as fellow contract rebel Alexis Sanchez - wages of £275,000-a-week.
But the German international is believed to want £350,000-a-week.
