MARCO ASENSIO and Isco again showed Real Madrid’s future is bright – with Gareth Bale facing a fight to return to the side.

The Welsh winger is closing on a return to fitness after posting a video on social media of him back in training.

Before the game Zinedine Zidane said he was “annoyed by criticism” of Karim Benzema – before benching the misfiring striker.

After Paulo Oliveira’s own goal had given Real the lead, Isco and Asensio combined for a brilliant second as the duo took advantage of Bale and Benzema’s absence.

Marcelo rounded off the scoring late on after combining with sub Benzema.

Real keeper Francisco Casilla was busy as Eibar gave it a go in the opening quarter of an hour, after the visitors survived Isco’s low effort inside the first minute.

But Paulo Oliveira nodded past his own keeper under pressure from Sergio Ramos after a dangerous Asensio cross.

Playmaker Asensio doubled the lead with a brilliant half-volley from an Isco cut-back.

Isco, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema then missed good chances to kill the game off.

But Theo Hernandez surged forward to start the best move of the game, with the Marcelo playing a one-two with Benzema before rifling into the bottom corner.

The win moves Real back up to third in La Liga, five points back from leaders Barcelona – who beat Malaga 2-0 on Saturday.
