MANCHESTER UNITED have signed Huddersfield and England Under-15s star Rocco Fregapane.
The Terriers underwent a major academy reshuffle recently with chairman Dean Hoyle seemingly citing a lack of success.
United - who lost 2-1 to Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday - appear to have taken advantage, by landing youngster Fregapane.
Sam Fregapane, assumed to be father of Rocco, said on Facebook: "Well done to Rocco who today signed for Man Utd and he is off on England duty next week for the Under-15s.
"We are so proud of you."
Huddersfield meanwhile are still undertaking the major shake-up of their youth ranks, switching from a "Category 2" to a "Category 4".
The move is due to a perceived lack of success according to club chairman Dean Hoyle.
Hoyle explained: “Our Academy system must provide a strong and obvious pathway to the first-team for players who are good enough, whilst also representing value for the club.
"Upon review, this is not something that we could claim.
“This decision has been the biggest we have undertaken in my time as chairman, and not an easy one.
