Newcastle latest news: Toon continue takeover talks with Amanda Staveley after PCP staff attend Palace win
The financier was not at St James' Park for the dramatic victory over the Eagles, the Yorkshirewoman and her PCP Capital Partners group continue discussions
AMANDA STAVELEY and her PCP Capital Partners group will continue takeover talks with Newcastle United this week.
The Yorkshirewoman was not in attendance to watch the Magpies in action against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
However, it is believed that she never had any plans to be in the crowd for the Toon's 1-0 win over the Eagles with discussions now well underway to buy the club.
Current owner Mike Ashley, who has not been a frequent attendee at St James' Park in recent times, was also not up in the North East.
Even though financier Staveley was not there, the Chronicle claim that other members of the £29billion valued group were on a watching brief.
Staveley signed a non-disclosure agreement last week with Newcastle.
And officials have now entered the "data room" stage of due diligence.
This process could go on for upto a month until the PCP decide whether to lodge a formal offer or not.
